The Altar Guild is a group of volunteers dedicated to the care and preparation of the church's liturgical space and sacred items. Their responsibilities include:

HOLY WATER BOWLS:   Clean and fill weekly.  Pour left over water down sink in the Sacristy.
 
VIGIL LIGHTS:   
Small Blue Lights:  When candle has burned, take out metal piece in the bottom.  Refill with new candle and turn wick upright for ease of lighting.   To clean, put in microwave for 10 seconds and wipe out excess wax.    Candles are stored in storage room in the kitchen.
Large Blue and Clear Lights:  replace used candles.  Clean candle stands monthly.
 
 BOOKS LOCATED IN PEW:
Please remove items left in pew, such as bulletins, tissues, etc.   
 
COMMUNION CLOTHS:
Check in basket weekly located in the sacristy.  When washing them, rinse cloths before washing.   Pour used rinse water OUTSIDE.  DO NOT POUR IT IN THE SEWER OR SEPTIC TANK DRAINS.  When badly stained, put aside.  Iron and fold in three the long way, then in half.  Check drawer to see how it has been done.
 
ALTAR CLOTHS:
Change small white altar cloth located on the altar whenever it is soiled.   Use caution when removing the altar cloth.  Fold the edges into the center to prevent losing particles on the cloth.    

The Communion and Alter cloths are stored in the long drawers in the sacristy.
